Ultimate Blog Party 2010

Hello there, thanks for stopping by my blog. My name is Amanda. My husband, Jon, and I live in Indiana with our three children. This is my first time with the Ultimate Blog Party. If you want to know some odds-and-ends things about me, you might check out 25 Things or here.

I’m semi-new to blogging about family life. I originally started this as on occasional update for family and friends but, thanks to my dear friend Claudia’s suggestion that I should post more frequently, it’s become an almost daily occurrence. I just recently did two giveaways for the first time. All in all, I kind of like this blogging thing.

I hope you enjoy my blog. Feel free to look around and, most importantly, have fun.

Additionally, I’d like to thank 5 Minutes for Mom for hosting the Ultimate Blog Party. I’m excited to meet other bloggers, and hopefully have others stumble across my blog.

There are a lot of really great prizes up for grabs. I’d take any, although my five top choices, should I be so lucky, are: (US11) A $100 gift eCertificate to Restaurant.com, immediately redeemable online at over 13,000 restaurants nationwide provide by Amy LeForge of Earnest Parenting; (US19) Prize package of preschool toys provided by Hasbro; (US40) One winner will receive a 3 day 2 night stay from Holiday Inn Main Gate East in Kissimmee, FL (less than 2 miles from Disney World) a value of $250 provided by Holiday Inn Main Gate; (USC13) $100 gift certificate to Kay Jewelers provided by  an unpink life; (INTL10) Custom Blog Design for Mommy Blogs or Personal Blog Sites! Includes domain registration and hosting and upgrades for one year provided by StartRankingNow

My two backup choices are: (US39) Be My Guest certificate ($250 value) for one lucky winner, (2 night stay for a family of four) at any Hilton Garden Inn provided by Hilton Garden Inn; (INTL14) Complete custom blog makeover for Blogger.com plus a custom coordinating Twitter background. Valued at up to $150 provided by Dawn Farias.

And, of course, I’ll keep my fingers crossed that I might win the grand prize: A Toshiba Laptop!

I hope you'll surf on over, say hello and follow along if the mood strikes you.Oh, one last thing – If you're the tweetin' kind, I'm @Dayngr on twitter.

  2. Thank you for dropping in at my party! So happy to follow you over to yours. 🙂 Lovely place you have here! Look forward to seeing you around!

  3. hey amanda, thanks for visiting my blog, it's nice to meet you. i LOVE your blog design, so clean and simple…and red's my favorite color. hope to see you around again soon!

  4. Thanks for stopping by! Your kids are adorable! Two in diapers makes for a busy mommy. I remember those days. Have fun hopping around with the UBP.

  5. Thanks for stopping by Average Radical. From what I read in your header, we have pretty similar views on the health establishment. I don't have kids, which decreases my 'street cred' as far as advocating for birth practices, but that does not diminish my ability to be loud and obnoxious about it. :)Also, the children are adorable. Nice job.

  6. Hey there. Thanks for dropping by my humble daddy blog. Yes there are a few of us, but as I think I said someplace on my blog, my wife where's the blogging pants in our family. Love your christmas photo. Two in diapers, eh? My mom did that (with cloth diapers) with my brother and I. We just have the one right now. Have a great evening!

  7. Um… I meant she "wears" the blogging pants. If one is going to write something as silly as "she wears the blogging pants", one at least spell all the words correctly. LOL. Later.
